Art with everything.........CB colourchallenge 6

Hi there,

Today my last take on the 6th CB colourchallenge.......again with the steampunk fish......they are so cool! And it has become something a bit different than my usual style......more artsy??

I've masked the mid area on my card and swiped with Distress stains and gave some splashes with the Distress stains. After drying I masked a larger area and sponged with Distress inks. I stamped the funk fish with plain black and gave some accents with white and Wink of Stella markers. I combined with some of the Nature fragments stamps and the quote from the Artistic affirmations.

Vandaag mijn laatste werk voor de 6e CB kleurenchallenge.....weer een met de steampunk fish....ze zijn zo gaaf! En het is iets anders geworden dan mijn normale stijl.......wat meer art??

Met behulp van masking tape heb ik het middelste gedeelte eerst gekleurd met vegen van de Distress stains en wat splashes. Nadat het droog was heb ik weer afgeplakt en de andere gedeelten met Distress inkten gesponst. De funky fish gestempeld met zwart en accenten gegeven met witte gelpen en Wink of Stella markers. Ik heb het gecombineerd met wat van de Nature fragments stempels en de tekst van de Artistic affirmations.

more workshop cards....... .........

I had still some workshop cards to show you, so here they are. Here I made two samples with the same stamps and techniques,  only different colors. We used the acrylic bloc technique, some clear embossing and watercolor technique on the flower.

Ik had nog wat workshop kaarten te laten zien, van de 3e en 4e workshop bij het Hobbyschuurke in Ridderkerk, dus hier zijn ze. Ik had twee voorbeelden gemaakt met dezelfde stempels, techniek maar verschillende kleuren. We hebben de acrylblok techniek gebruikt, clear embossing en aquarel techniek op de bloem.

At the other card the flower was stamped with visible outlines(Memento), the other one was stamped using Distress inks and fading the outlines to get a more water coloured effect.

Bij de onderste kaart is de bloem met duidelijke contouren(Memento inkt) gestempeld, de bovenste bloem is gestempeld met Distress inkt waarbij de contouren vervaagd werden door gebruik van water om meer dat aquarel effect te krijgen.

The following cards were made at the last workshop. Each one was less labour intensive so we had time to do two Pan Pastel techniques. First creating a sky with a tree stamped and more accents using Memento ink on some branches. The die from the birds was double embossed with clear embossing powder. The die is from Joy and the text is from Marianne design.

De volgende kaarten zijn van de laatste workshop. Omdat het deze keer minder bewerkelijke kaarten waren konden we er twee maken met Pan Pastel techniek. De eerste met een afgeplakt gedeelte waar er een lucht en ' zon' werd gemaakt. De eerste lagen zijn met Pan Pastel gemaakt en omiets meer accent te krijgen de voorste laag met inkt.  De vogeltjes mal is van Joy en dubbel geembosst met clear emboss.poeder. De tekst is een clearstempel van Marianne design.

The 2nd one is done using metallics Pan Pastels onto black embossed paper, it creates such a beautiful effect! We did use all of the Pan Pastel metallic colors. The stars are a die from Crealies and  also the Dutch text which says ' a warm Christmas greeting' .

De tweede is gemaakt met alle kleuren metallic Pan Pastels op zwart geembosst papier, het geeft toch z' on mooi effect! De sterren zijn van een Crealies mal en ook de kersttekst.

Well, these were the last workshop cards of this year! Hope to have inspired you to get the inks or Pan Pastels out and have a play with it!

Lots of (candy) Dots .........

Vandaag weer eens iets ander, een paar kaarten gemaakt met de grappige candi-dots en Woodware stempels. Deze stempels zijn ontworpen voor de Candi dots. Ze zijn er in heel veel kleuren en zijn verkrijgbaar bij de Stampingcorner. Hier kun je ook de gebruikte stempels vinden. Hieronder gebruikte ik de ' Bubble bloom snowflower' .

en hier dezelfde stempel.......in koele tinten.....de tekst is van Chocolate Baroque en kun je hier vinden. Op de achtergrond heb ik een Joggles stencil gebruikt, de Star flower. Ook bij de Stampingcorner, neem eens een kijkje op de website.....heel veel stencils van allerlei merken!! Er zijn ook chipboard candi dots die je natuurlijk zelf kan kleuren en embossen!

En de laatste kaart waarbij ik ook de mooie ' Fancy flower' van Woodware heb gebruikt. In combinatie met de bubble bloom snowflower en aan de zijkant van de kaart heb ik gedeeltelijk wat dots geembosst en bewerkt met Magical mica powder.( ook van Lindy's stampgang) Ook nog wat  embossing enamel Shabby white ertussen en zoals je ziet heb ik de dots ook geembosst in goud en koper glitter. De bloem is ingekleurd met kleurpotloden.

Boven zie je ook dezelfde bloem maar dan geembosst in goud, is ie niet mooi?

Het was leuk te werken met deze candi-dots en er zijn vele stempels van Woodware die hiermee bewerkt kunnen worden. Je vindt ze allemaal hier.

Vandaag laat ik jullie mijn interpretatie zien van de 5e kleuren challenge bij Chocolate Baroque. Kijk op het kleuren challenge blog voor de stap voor stap beschrijving en een lijst met materialen die je nodig hebt........ en nog veel meer inspiratie! De achtergrond is gemaakt met Shadow paint inkten( zoals ecoline) en je kunt ook het patroon zien van een Crafters stencil op de achtergrond.
